We had a canny stay, the room was spot on and comfy with loads of tea and biscuits. The food was top-notch too! Only downside was the bathroom could've been a bit warmer, especially in December.

Large Double Room offers ample space, perfect for a couple looking to unwind. The complimentary items like tea, coffee, milk pods, and biscuits are nice touches that enhance the stay experience.

The handles on the roof windows are too long, leaving noticeable scuffs on the plaster—an easy fix that would significantly improve the room’s aesthetics. the shower needs some attention. the water pressure is inadequate, producing small, spiky streams that make showering uncomfortable, and it takes far too long to heat up. Some noise from bedroom doors slamming could also be addressed, as they tend to shut with a bang, creating a slight disturbance.

The Large Double Room offered a cosy warmth and a truly comfortable bed. The lady hostess made the stay even better with her helpful attitude. the shower cabin left much to be desired. The water pressure was low, resulting in small, spiky streams that made washing hair a challenge. Waiting for warm water took too long after a long day. Despite these issues, the stay was memorable, thanks to the inviting atmosphere and attentive staff.

I had to wait far too long for the water to heat up, which was quite frustrating after a long day. there was some inconvenience with accessing power outlets, as I nearly knocked over my belongings while trying to plug in the kettle.

I was a foot Pilgrim, footsore and tired, and arrived on a Sunday evening to find the kitchen closed. the wonderful woman working offered, without being asked, to go into the kitchen herself and made me sandwiches and a salad. in the morning, another lovely lady, concerned that I’d be walking underfed, doubled my breakfast portion without additional charge or request.

It wasn’t cheap, but still acceptable.

I stayed in a Large Double Room for 2 nights, and it was such a cozy space! The decor was really charming, and the bed was super comfy, making it easy to unwind. I loved the tea and coffee tray—it was packed with goodies, including water and even wine! A nice touch for sure. Plus, the cleanliness level was impressive, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

Cozy room, fantastic dining, the exceptional quality of breakfast made our mornings enjoyable, and the free parking made exploring the area very convenient as well.

i had a fantastic stay at the red lion. the large double room was immaculately clean and well cared for, with a super comfy bed. the food was delicious, and the atmosphere of the pub really added to the experience. The staff were exceptionally friendly and truly made us feel welcome. it felt like being at home.

My partner and I enjoyed a delightful stay! The large double room provided a perfect escape. We appreciated the thoughtful amenities like complimentary tea and biscuits. A tip , look for the umbrellas stored in the porch area if it rains!

after my previous stay in the city, the red lion exceeded my expectations with a cozy and beautifully designed room. the breakfast was superb, and they even had gluten-free options! the accommodating staff made my visit pleasant and comfortable.
